Jon English – one of Australia’s most loved and enduring recording and performing artists – and Peter Cupples, former lead singer and songwriter of ‘STYLUS’, together in their collaborative music show, ‘UNCORKED’. Born out of a wonderful rapport formed while touring together in ‘Pirates of Penzance’, the repertoire of the twosome includes all their old hits and favourites, including Turn the Page, Hollywood 7, Six Ribbons, Words are Not Enough, Summer Breeze and World of Make Believe. RAW BRIT have been selling out shows all over town with their spectacular British rock show. The all-star band features Mick Pealing (Stars/The Ideals), Bob Spencer (Skyhooks/Angels) on guitar/vocals, John Favaro (The Badloves/Mark Seymour) on bass/vocals and Peter Maslen (Boom Crash Opera) on drums/vocals. This hard rockin' four piece specializes in British rock from the 60's and 70's, including names such as Free, Bad Co, Led Zep and Cream. This time around, the band will be showcasing Status Quo’s album, ’'12 Gold Bars'’ which achieved number 3 in the UK charts back in 1980. Daryl first found fame as lead singer of Sherbet, a band synonymous with the 70’s. Kim Salmon returns to launch what he considers his first legitimate ‘solo’ album, ‘My Script’ – a candid largely autobiographical work with some 20 songs ranging from full band productions to stripped back minimalism. With a back catalogue that includes The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Antenna, The Surrealists and The Darling Downs, this is his first album without input from collaborators since his 2002 oddity E(r)nest. In each town Kim will be using a different ensemble so each show will have different interpretations of his material, past present and future but particularly ‘My Script’. Kristin Hersh is a founding member of the band Throwing Muses and 50 FT wave as well as having had an extensive and influential solo career. Her memoir 'Rat Girl' was widely praised from the New York Times to Rolling Stone which named it one of the top ten rock memoirs ever written. 'Don’t Suck, Don’t Die – Giving Up Vic Chesnutt' is her latest book, a memoir of her good friend, US singer/songwriter Vic Chesnutt who sadly took his own life in 2009. Kristin Hersh returns to Australia, her home away from home, to perform material from across her catalogue which includes that of Alternative rock, folk and pop interspersed with readings from 'Don’t Suck, Don’t Die.
