774 ABC Melbourne and Afternoons with RICHARD STUBBS presents Exhumed 2014 – we’re looking for more of the best bands you’ve never heard of. It’s not for has-beens, it’s not for wannabes, it’s for the never-weres. Exhumed is a band competition open to unsigned, unrecorded, unheard and until now, unwanted bands. Bands compete for the opportunity to win one of four spots on the Exhumed 2014 bill and will play alongside guest performer and judge on the night the iconic RUSSELL MORRIS. The Line up is as follows: 07.05pm -THE NOISY JOHNNIES, 07.40pm – THE HEMMINGWAYS, 08.30pm – RUSSELL MORRIS, 09.10pm – MOJO MAFIA, 09.45pm – PRINCESS PLANET

Exhumed: The Best Bands You’ve Never Heard Of

Entries for Exhumed 2014 are now open.

To be eligible band members need to be over 30-years-old and must be amateur – this is about passion not professionalism.

Bands compete for the opportunity to win one of four spots on the Exhumed 2014 bill. The prize is about the ABC experience – airplay, interviews, the gig –  it’s a lot of fun with green rooms, riders and RUSSELL MORRIS!   We aim to give bands, their families and friends a night they’ll never forget. Rock star treatment on an ABC budget!

Russell Morris is guest judge on the night and will also perform 2 songs on the bill.

The out of towners prize: One band from regional Victoria who will also win a night’s accommodation in town.

On Wednesday 03rd September Richard Stubbs and special guest judge Russell Morris will announce one band, best in show and title holders ABC Radio Exhumed 2014.
