Canyon – West Coast Sound

The Flying Saucer Club welcomes back to its stage CANYON this July. With new lead guitarist Dion Hirini (Vika & Linda Bull, Etta James Show) expect signature four part harmonies, classic songs about deserts, forests, raging water, open highways and broken hearts. Cue Canyon for stunning acoustic-driven, silken harmony fuelled music! Canyon sings some of the greatest songs ever written also performing originals inspired by the period by artists such as America, Neil Young and Fleetwood Mac.

Canyon features the vocally formidable Peter Chapman and Louise Dempsey (yes, Paul’s sister), with Dion Hirini (Vika & Linda Bull, Etta James Show) and Bruce Packard (Coolgrass, Concordia Mandolin Orchestra). Canyon blends harmony with instruments including guitars, mandolin, basses, drum & percussion. Canyons audience is alive and in sync creating a potent mix combining elements, history and the weathering of musical storms!
