Stephen Cummings with Socks and Sandals

Accompanied by his long-time jam band, Socks and Sandals featuring Robert Goodge playing guitars and mandolin, Bill McDonald sharing vocal duties and playing bass and Clare Moore on drums and percussion, it will be an afternoon of bright lyrics and even brighter riffs. Drawing on material from his time in 70s band The Sports, Cummings will also be performing the music from his solo career that has spanned the 80s until now. Responsible for a number of albums, his fourth, A New Kind of Blue, won him the 1990 ARIA award for “Best Adult Contemporary Album” and featured hits such as “A Love is a Life”, “Your House is Falling” and “When the Day is Done”.

A jack-of-all-trades, Cummings has extended his songwriting talents to writing books, and is the author of two novels and a memoir to date.

There is no doubting it will be a performance of fist-pumping music and masterly melodies – not to be missed.
