The Music of James Taylor – presented by the ‘Sun On The Moon’ Band

The James Taylor ONE ONLY Melbourne show for 2015 exclusively at The Flying Saucer Club! June is a huge month for James Taylor fans with the long awaited release of his latest album ‘Before this World’ on sale from June 16th.
The Sun on the Moon band is fronted by “Australia’s Got Talent” finalist DAN CONWAY and backed by a dedicated 10 piece ALL STAR band of long time James Taylor fans who will perform 2 sets of award winning JT classics including “Fire & Rain”, “Carolina On My Mind”, “How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You” and many more… If you are not a J.T. fan when you arrive you certainly will be by the time the night sadly draws to a close – you will be wishing for just one more tune!

As musicians The Sun On The Moon Band rarely get the opportunity to play these great JT tunes at gigs, so they decided to create a band whose sole (soul?) purpose was to do just that. James Taylor has enriched their lives musically for over 3 decades and has proven to be impervious to the vagaries of musical trends.

‘Sun On The Moon’ gathers together some of JT’s greatest songs like  ‘Fire and Rain’, ‘Carolina on my mind’, ‘Mexico’, ‘Copperline’, ‘October Road’, ‘4th of July’, and ‘Walking Man’ as well as a host of other incredible but less known songs.  JT summed up his philosophy perfectly on his 1985 song “That’s Why I’m Here”

Perfect strangers can call you by name
Pay money to hear ‘Fire and Rain’ again and again and again…
I break into a grin from year to year
And suddenly it’s perfectly clear
