Thursday 18 June
Aria award nominee Abbe May is making her debut at The Saucer this June and we couldn’t be more excited! Abbe is one of Australia’s most respected and exciting songwriters and vocalists. Her live performances are charismatic, intense and provocative. The impressive multi-instrumentalist artist has an ever growing audience and catalogue of songs about love and lust that could almost be romantic if it weren’t for the vitriol. Supporting Abbe on the night will be ‘SONS OF RICO’. Get in quick for this one space riders!
May spent her late teens and early twenties in Australia’s sleaziest rock venues, busted up studios and unreliable tour vans in various solo and band incarnations. With sly humour, Abbe graduated from her critically acclaimed early explorations of rock and blues to become a guitar-slinging, beat bouncing goddess with an atmospheric cocktail of sexy indie RnB, blues, voodoo and electronica.
ARIA Best Female Artist nominee, Abbe May, tours her music extensively throughout the world with a live performance that is as charismatic as it is intense. May is currently writing and producing her highly anticipated sixth album.

“Abbe May is a black sheep in a pop paddock groaning with nice girls” – 4/5 STARS – The Age
