The-Roots-of-Kim-Salmon

Kim Leith Salmon is an Australian music icon with a 40+ year career performing with The Cheap Nasties, the Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists, Kim Salmon and the Business and The Darling Downs (among others). Guaranteed to be a fabulous night of hook driven, pop guitar tunes!

Kim is an inductee of the West Australian Music Industry Association Hall of Fame and the EG Awards Hall of Fame. Originally aspiring to be a nuclear physicist, he was swayed by the sounds of rock’n’roll and became a Scientist. Hailed as ‘The Godfather of Grunge’, Kim Salmon and his band consisting of Michael Stranges (drums) and Stu Thomas (bass) will play a selection of songs from artists that form part of Salmon’s DNA and which have informed his songwriting and career such as TRex, Credence Clearwater Revival, The ‘Stones, Serge Gainsbourg, The Delfonics and Daddy Cool.

‘The Scientists turned my head around and made a man out of me! They grew hair on my palms and made my socks stink!’ – Jon Spencer
