From humble beginnings playing local bars and pubs, to tours and Festivals in the USA and Europe, the Flybyniters have made their mark. Backing the likes of Lazy Lester, Big Jay McNeely, Ska/Bluebeat great Owen Gray, to name few, Benny & the Flybyniters have always been the go to band in Australia for your Rhythm & Blues fix. Benny himself has a world-wide following of passionate supporters that love nothing more than to groove and shake to his hip moving catalogue of tunes.

Acclaimed for their gritty, driving, down home-sound, Collard Greens and Gravy play a repertoire of stripped back, harmonica driven,Chicago blues!

Originally formed in 1995 the band features Ian Collard (vocals, harmonica and guitar) as well as recent additions,Sean (Juke Boy) Emmett (guitar) and Jason Liu Soon (drums). The band have received many awards including  second place at the 2001 International Blues challenge in Memphis. In the same year the band’s second CD More Gravy won an Aria award for Best Blues and Roots Album. Their third CD Silver Bird won the Best Self- Produced CD Award at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in February 2005. Their latest CD “Luedella” released in March 2018 went to number one on the ABRAC charts a month after it’s debut and is receiving rave reviews.
